Andy is a hands-on serial entrepreneur with an extensive background in structural engineering, business development, construction, manufacturing and technological development. Prior to founding Building Composites, he helped launch multiple successful engineering and fabrication companies utilizing composite materials and other advanced solutions. Comfortable at every level of the industry, from executive boardrooms to construction sites, his authentic, pragmatic leadership style and ability to build high-performance teams have served as growth catalysts for his companies and clients throughout his career. His areas of expertise include structural engineering, product development, operations management and construction operations.

Rich has focused on process optimization to reduce carbon footprints for nearly three decades. A journey spanning machine design for metal part fabrication to advanced composites manufacturing has put Dr. Rydin in front of owner-operators and Fortune 500 businesses alike. He specializes in closed-molding techniques that employ reusable apparatus for cutting process wastes and is particularly interested in the integration of materials that are either bio-sourced or originate within the circular economy. Rich has lectured on green design and sustainable manufacturing at leading universities and corporations.

Andrew is a highly effective business leader with more than two decades of success creating year-over-year growth for domestic and international businesses. Throughout his career, he’s increased sales by more than $1 billion while generating more than $250 million in cost savings for clients in the consumer goods, retail, technology and pharmaceutical industries.

A creative structural engineer specializing in innovative materials and disruptive technologies, Anya has worked in the construction industry since 2006. She excels at applying engineering principles to create novel structures that rise above code compliance and brings a passion for reshaping conservative industry practices. Prior to joining the Building Composites team, Anya helped develop groundbreaking 3D printed structures and systems, including the R. Buckminster Fuller Visitor Center in Carbondale, Illinois, and a patented load-bearing panelized structural system. She’s also worked as a construction site foreman and project manager, with expertise in nondestructive field testing and green certification projects.

Troy brings more than 20 years of professional financial expertise to Building Composites. His background includes finance, accounting and management roles in real estate, manufacturing, IT, HR and retail. In addition to his accounting certification, he earned an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Amy supports the Building Composites team with more than two decades of engineering, manufacturing, program management, process improvement and environmental experience. With a background in the management of corporate and government organizations, she has served in diverse roles ranging from quality and environmental management to test management and operations direction. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Dayton.
